For my little mans birthday party, I was under a bit of a time crunch. Although I am usually pretty good at finding what I need online, there really wasn’t all that many Super Mario party supplies available. I wanted an invite that evoked his love for Mario and of course, the most boyish of the characters that Super Mario has. We settled on Ba-bomb. I decided to make some homemade Super Mario invitations, and they were pretty easy, although, they do look really homemade. Maybe that’s a good thing?
I don’t think it would be really necessary to give you a cut by cut illustration of how these homemade ba-bomb invitations were made, as they are pretty much self-explanatory. I will, though, give you a quick rundown of how they were made. I used cardstock for the invites so they wouldn’t be too flimsy to the touch. I cut out the black circles, the white eyes, and little yellow heart shapes were inverted for the feet. I attached a piece of twine to the top and glued it on the back for the wick. If you want to go a step further, you could fray the twine more and paint it red to look like it’s on fire. Then, I attached the white back and printed out the party details. And there you have it, homemade Ba-bomb birthday invitations!
